Aw, I thought they were just swell. I mean, the thing about kids at book festivals? They act like kids!

And they would have gotten a free book if they’d stuck around! (I gave out free ARCs).

My kids showed up with dad right before the Biscuit Brothers and did great for my presentation after that, but then my daughter was done. Except for the face painting.

It was fun, but a long day for even me!

Same thing with my kid. I took him to the festival with me yesterday. To my embarrassment, when someone asked him if he wanted to sign up for the free book drawing, he said,”No, books are boring.’

Then he practically hid in a corner until it was time for me to present, and then suddenly he was out front with me wanting everyone to know that “I’m with the guy signing autographs.”
