In a postscript to the situation I wrote about a few months ago:

“Your fight for intellectual freedom and character of not abandoning your principles by bending to censorship is an inspiration to us…”

“Thank you for standing by your beliefs that Intellectual freedom is important!”

“Your books are inspiring tons of people and your principles are awesome!”

Receiving this batch of thank-you notes from public school students is a reminder that I must be doing something right — and that their librarian must be, too.

The fourth note, from the librarian herself, ended with “Let us know how we can support you.”

With these notes, they already have.
