I’ll be hitting the road this month for Bozeman, Montana, which is not only the home of We Match! illustrator Sharon Glick and the place we first met at a children’s literature festival in November 2021, but also the inspiration for the name (and birthday) of one of the characters in our book:
If you know folks who’ll be near Bozeman (the city, not the fictional dog) on Tuesday, August 26, Sharon and I hope they’ll join us for our celebration of We Match! at Country Bookshelf at 6 p.m.
Those in attendance will be able to answer for themselves:
Since Sharon and I will be signing copies of We Match! side-by-side for the Country Bookshelf crowd, I think I should let my newsletter subscribers get in on that rare opportunity. So, for my August 2025 giveaway to recipients of Bartography Express (folks can sign up here), I’m giving away four copies of We Match! signed by both Sharon and me!
If you’d like to be one of the winners, before August 25 either say so in the comments below or contact me directly, and you’ll be in the running. (Subscribers with U.S. mailing addresses only.)
Oh, and one more thing:
OF COURSE we match!

Happy travels to promote We Match! I would love to win a copy of your book. Can’t wait to read it. Thanks for sharing the idea for having kids share with each other how they match until the entire class finds something they have in common. I’ll try that one this year.
You’re now officially in the running, Aimée — good luck! And will you please let me know how the WE MATCH! exercise goes with your students?
Congrats on this new book entering the world! I’m going to tell my sister who lives next to Midway, UT she should go visit you and get a book signed while you’re in town! And I love the matching idea for getting to know new friends … I’m going to keep that in my back pocket for my kids and my homeschool science students. (I’d also love to win a copy of We Match! Fingers crossed!)
Oh, please do let your sister know, Kim — I’d really appreciate that! You’re now in the running for the giveaway, and I hope you’ll let me know how the WE MATCH! exercise goes with your kids and students, should you give that a try. Something similar was a highlight of my appearance yesterday at BookPeople here in Austin.
