What kind of weirdo would create Venn diagrams for the characters in his own book?

Not as part of the writing process (which would be weird enough, but maybe understandable) — after the book is already finished and out in the world, just for fun. (Honestly, I think stopping at two Venn diagrams for this one shows a lot of restraint on my part.)

If you’re that kind of weirdo, guess what? We Match!

And it wasn’t ONLY just for fun — at the annual convention of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) next month, I’ll be discussing We Match! and using it to teach about sets and set theory as part of “Count on It! Math-Themed Books That Will Ignite Math Lovers and Entice Math-Averse Students.”

If you’ll be at NCTE, be sure to add this session to your schedule!
