I learned this week that my nonfiction picture book Glitter Everywhere! Where It Came From, Where It’s Found & Where It’s Going (illustrated by Chaaya Prabhat and published by Charlesbridge) is on the 2025 Young Reader shortlist for the Siam Book Awards, curated by international school librarians across Thailand.

I know from my many informal surveys of school-visit audiences that not everyone loves glitter itself, so I especially appreciate those on the selection committee who chose this book despite their own personal distaste for the stuff!
