My nonfiction picture book All of a Sudden and Forever: Help and Healing After the Oklahoma City Bombing (illustrated by Nicole Xu and published by Carolrhoda Books/Lerner Publishing) has received the honor of being included in this year’s Read Across Texas program:

The Texas Center for the Book (TCFB) invites libraries, community nonprofits, and readers statewide to join in its 2021 reading campaign. Read Across Texas: Recovery kicks off this March, with libraries signing up to facilitate reading and discussion opportunities exploring what “recovery” could mean within their communities.

As part of this program, the TCFB has created lists of discussion questions for each title, including this one for All of a Sudden and Forever.

I appreciate these thoughtful questions (e.g. “How might loss, grief, and comfort sit side-by-side in the recovery process?” and “How do memorials help people to remember and heal?”), and I hope that readers of all ages across Texas and far beyond will find them helpful.
