Welcome to the 15th episode of “This One’s Dedicated to…,” in which Jennifer Ziegler and I share our quick conversation with author Baptiste Paul about the dedication in his two new picture books, To Carnival! A Celebration in Saint Lucia (illustrated by Jana Glatt; Barefoot Books, April 2021) and Peace (co-written with Miranda Paul; illustrated by Estelí Meza; NorthSouth Books, March 2021).
Subscribers to my monthly Bartography Express newsletter (folks can sign up here) are eligible for our giveaway copies of Peace and To Carnival!
If you’d like one of the winners to be you, by the end of April 2021 either say so in the comments below or email me directly, and you’ll be in the running. (U.S. mailing addresses only.)
Thanks for watching, and please visit the main “This One’s Dedicated to…” page for more conversation videos and a look at who Jennifer and I will be talking to soon.
St. Lucia holds a special place in my heart–we honeymooned there and got to know some of the locals on the beaches. One young man had just gotten engaged and wanted to take his honeymoon in the US. He asked us so many questions about where to go and what to see. Please enter me for a chance to win a copy of this book.
Hi Chris,
Please enter me in the giveaway! I loved Carnival celebrations when I lived in Ecuador, and have been looking for some little kid friendly picture books on the holiday for my library.
Will do, Sue — it’s a lively, beautiful book!
I love that story — thank you, Danielle (and good luck)!
