We have a few more weeks to wait for the next substantial steps in the lawsuit over the Texas book ban.

But regardless of how things go with the Fifth Circuit court of appeals, nothing ever makes me feel more optimistic about the future of my home state than the annual Texas Book Festival here in Austin.

And if you’ll be at this year’s festival on either day — November 11 or November 12 — so will I, and so will Glitter Everywhere! Where It Came From, Where It’s Found & Where It’s Going!

(See the full festival schedule.)

On Saturday, Nov. 11, I’ll be in conversation with my friend Don Tate (author of Jerry Changed the Game! How Engineer Jerry Lawson Revolutionized Video Games Forever) for “Glitter and Gaming: Researched-Based Picture Books” from 1-1:45 p.m. at the Texas State Library & Archives Commission.

On Sunday, Nov. 12, I’ll be presenting Glitter Everywhere! from 1-1:30 p.m. in the Read Me A Story Tent.

Right after each session, you can also find me in the Children’s Book Signing Tent. I hope you will!
