When school-visit audiences ask me what my favorite book of mine is, I never have just a single answer for them, because there’s something about each book that makes it meaningful to me.
As an example, I sometimes point to the year 2016, when I had four titles published and saw an opportunity to dedicate one book each to our four children.
Our daughter, Renée, loves music, and in keeping with that I dedicated 88 Instruments to her. Well, Renée is graduating this month from the University of North Texas with a degree in photography and a minor in art history.
To help celebrate her achievement, I’m giving away four signed copies of 88 Instruments, which was illustrated by Louis Thomas and published by Knopf Books for Young Readers.
Subscribers to my monthly Bartography Express newsletter (folks can sign up here) are eligible for one of those personalized copies.
If you’d like the winner to be you, by the end of May either say so in the comments below or email me directly, and you’ll be in the running. (U.S. mailing addresses only.)
Good luck to you, and please join me in congratulating Renée!
One of my favorite books to read in story time!
I would love to win a signed copy of 88 Instruments!
I’d love a copy to read to my grandchildren who are extremely musical with pots and pans. Thanks!
Congrats Reneé! My eleven month old is an aspiring ukulele, guitar, and drum player, so that’s just 85 instruments to go. I’d love to read him this book!
Yes – I would like the win a signed copy. I enjoyed hearing you at TLA.
This looks wonderful. I would love to win a copy for my classroom!
I would love to win this book for my library! It is one of my favorites to read and my music teacher also reads it every year too! Congratulations to Renee on her graduation from UNT!!
