And that date is…
July 1, 2009!
It’s been seven years to the month since that manuscript made its first appearance before a critique group. The art is finished, and just a few hours ago my editor and I hashed out our final text change in real-time via cell phone and Facebook. Now it’s on to the printer and Charlesbridge Publishing’s fall 2009 list.
After such a long time, the 286 days between now and my publication date seems like nothing. It does to me, anyway — to you, it may seem so long that you’ll likely forget all about the release of my first book.
That’s OK. I understand — really, I do. That’s why, if you’ll look just to the right of these words (if you’re reading this on my site) or click here (if you’re reading this in your feed reader), you’ll find an easy way for me to let you know when the Big Day arrives for The Day-Glo Brothers.
Or, you can just keep reading Bartography. I’ll probably mention something about the book next July…
